Cowper's Cut 191: A farewell to Health Education England

This is a very quick one: the future of Health Education England has come into question as part of the 15-year workforce plan allegedly due next Spring.

I understand that, following this process, it has been decided that as with NHS Digital and NHS Kiss (as I revealed yesterday), HEE will be shifted back into NHS England.

This is to be announced today, I'm told.

HEE was created by a statutory instrument, which is secondary legislation. If I understand the procedure correctly, this means that it can be abolished in the same way. So HEE's abolition does not need to be folded into the Health Bill.
